Disagreeing Better: Toolkit for Clinicians and Care Teams
This module addresses the complexity of communication goals in medical conversations. It emphasizes the importance of aligning goals with patients goals, which may include feeling hopeful, respected, or heard. Rather than solely focusing on persuasion, the speakers suggest considering multiple goals such as improving health, building relationships, and showing empathy.

ACC's UB Vax Card: A Model for Vaccination Promotion Across Health Systems
The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has developed the UB Vax Card — a wallet-sized vaccination record designed to help patients stay current with recommended immunizations. Originally created for ACC members, this practical tool is available for adoption by other health systems looking to strengthen preventive care efforts.
The card offers a simple, patient-friendly way to track received vaccines and upcoming doses, making it especially valuable for individuals with cardiovascular conditions who face elevated risk from vaccine-preventable illnesses. Health systems can integrate the UB Vax Card into routine visits, discharge planning, or community outreach programs — reinforcing vaccination as a cornerstone of comprehensive care while building patient trust through accessible, easy-to-use resources.

ACOEM Drives Vaccination Awareness Through Podcast Outreach
The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) has leveraged its podcast platform, OccPod, to advance vaccination awareness among occupational health professionals. Covering timely topics including workplace vaccinations and mpox, OccPod brings accessible, expert-driven content directly to practitioners — meeting them where they are with relevant, actionable information.
ACOEM further extended its reach through targeted email outreach to over 20,000 health care provider members and a presence at the Association of Occupational Health Practitioners in Healthcare conference, reinforcing its commitment to keeping the occupational health community informed and engaged on preventive care.

AGS Brings Immunization Guidance for Older Adults to the iGeriatrics App
The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) has made its Guideline on Common Immunizations in Older Adults available through the iGeriatrics Mobile App, offering geriatrics health professionals a convenient, on-the-go resource for enhancing immunization practices in line with the Standards for Adult Immunization Practices (SAIP). The guideline covers COVID-19, influenza, zoster, and pneumonia vaccines — prioritizing the immunizations most critical to the health and well-being of older adults.
The iGeriatrics app consolidates all of AGS’s clinical information offerings into a single, free, easy-to-use platform. Designed for health care providers, the app spans a wide range of topics relevant to older adult care, from medication safety to cross-cultural assistance — making it a comprehensive companion for geriatrics practice.

AACE Bingo Card
The American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) developed the Patient Vaccine Bingo Card as an interactive, educational tool designed to help adults with diabetes and other chronic conditions keep track of their immunization schedules.
The bingo card transforms preventive care into a practical checklist. Rather than typical bingo numbers, the squares feature critical adult immunizations. When patients receive a required vaccine, they cross that square off, aiming to complete the board and stay up-to-date.
ATS Vaccine Resource Center: Trusted Immunization Information for Clinicians and Patients
The American Thoracic Society (ATS) has launched the Vaccine Resource Center (VRC), a curated hub of vetted immunization information for clinicians, patients, and the public. The VRC covers key vaccination topics — including influenza, pneumococcal, and COVID-19 — and draws on high-quality materials from ATS, the CDC, peer societies, and patient interest organizations.
The VRC also serves as a home for resources emerging from the Specialty Societies Advancing Adult Immunization (SSAAI) initiative, a cooperative grant awarded to ATS and six additional specialty societies to advance adult vaccination. New materials will be added over time, with a growing emphasis on learnings from the SSAAI project.
